Making a Difference
The endeavors of the Eye Research Foundation to reduce blindness allow ophthalmologists to identify methods to better diagnose and treat disease at earlier stages, by advancing the management of ophthalmic disease. Nearly 70% of our overall activities involve research relating to macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, retinal vascular occlusive disease, and dry eye disease. ERF research allows opthalmogists to identify methods to better diagnose and treat disease at earlier stages, thereby improving patients' likelihood for achieving lifelong healthy vision.
Through our continued research efforts and your support, the end to vision loss is within our grasp. When you support the Eye Research Foundation, you are joining a movement that aspires to bring an end to blindness caused by eye disease. Our work is anchored in a resilient commitment to serving the community. With your support, the gift of sight is within reach.
Through your support, we are able to provide lectures on the latest developments and drugs available, disseminate information community wide, offer free eye disease screenings, and help get eye drops at little or no cost for qualifying individuals. We educate the public about warning signs that may lead to vision loss in an effort to prevent blindness. In the past you have seen us at the Martin County Library or the Martin Memorial Boomers and Seniors Health Fair.
Feel free to contact us for information on giving opportunities what will further the Eye Research Foundations mission. We welcome donations in any amount.
